To Celebrate Super Bowl Win, Chiefs Player Pays Adoption Fees for All Dogs at Kansas City Shelter
By Brandy Arnold
After the Kansas City Chiefs’ big win on Super Bowl Sunday, defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi found the perfect way to celebrate—by helping every single dog in his team’s hometown shelter find a forever home!
KC Pet Project announced the exciting news in a Sunday night post-Super Bowl Facebook post.
“KC WINS! We are so excited to announce that the Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi is choosing to celebrate the Super Bowl win by paying for the adoptions of all the adoptable dogs currently at KC Pet Project!” The post continued, “we have had an amazing, season-long, partnership with Derrick and he couldn’t have thought of a better ending.”
Throughout the season, Nnadi sponsored an adoptable dog after every Chiefs win, contributing to dozens of dogs finding their homes. But, after winning the biggest football game of the year, he celebrated in a huge way, by paying the adoption fees for every single dog at the KC Pet Project shelter.
The adoptions are sponsored by the Derrick Nnadi foundation. Click here to learn more. To see all available dogs, click here.
